Foot drop is a condition that prevents someone from actively lifting their foot at the ankle joint when the leg swings through in the gait cycle. This can be dangerous as it can cause one to trip and fall over.
The Springleaf AFO is the traditional off-the-shelf AFO. It has a 'bucket' design foot section, a 3/4 length foot plate and padded straps.
For best results, use the Springleaf AFO with a closed shoe that has a lace or velcro fastener.
